The meeting is in fact a preparatory stage to the Conference of Speakers of EU Parliaments. It elaborates the content and organization of the agenda of the Conference of Speakers and approves its underlying program framework.
This event also provides grounds for a presentation and discussion of the procedural agenda of the Inter-parliamentary EU Information Exchange Platform (IPEX), as well as the IPEX annual report.
Formally, this meeting has an “administrative format ", however in practice it often focuses on current political and social issues - both, in terms of “preparation" for the forthcoming Conference of Speakers, as well as in terms of highlighting the topics of interest during this event by the presiding Parliament administration.
